Our Story
A kitchen, not a restaurant.
Mother & Father's Kitchen started the way most good things do — with too much food and not enough people at the table. What began as Sunday cooking for family and neighbours in Kawdana is now a small cloud kitchen serving Dehiwala and the streets around it.
Cooked by two people
Every order is made by Amma and Thaththa themselves. Small batches, one pot at a time — the same way it's cooked for the family.
Spices ground at home
Roasted curry powder, coconut scraped fresh, pandan and curry leaves from the garden. No shop packets, no shortcuts, no MSG.
Made after you order
We don't pre-cook and reheat. Place your order ahead of your meal and it goes on the fire for you — which is why it tastes like it just came off the stove.
Packed to travel
Rice, curries and sambols packed separately so nothing turns soggy on the way. Your plate arrives the way it left our kitchen.
